Note: Please don’t underestimate our capabilities. We can likely match what you do or at least create a version of it. Can we achieve the same level of quality as you? It’s uncertain! Are we able to do everything, all the time? Definitely not! That’s where collaboration becomes essential.

Attention: We want to clarify that we operate our own ecosystems and aren’t reliant on audiences from platforms like YouTube or TikTok. While it’s great to have connections with some industry leaders, we don’t always need or want our business to be public knowledge—sometimes for our own reasons, other times due to contractual obligations, or simply because we’ve been asked to keep things under wraps until the right moment.

Warning: We understand that some of you may come at us with intensity. We recognize that you might be feeling overwhelmed. It’s important to be honest and express your thoughts, but we also ask that you remain disciplined, professional, and respectful. Your unique traits are welcome, just don’t be unreliable!

Deal-memos: Regarding our agreements, they typically involve percentages (usually related to publishing rights). We generally don’t need to touch anyone’s writer share unless there’s a significant rewrite at the composition level. The publisher share we request will depend on practical considerations, such as your level of establishment, your ability/willingness to self-invest in marketing, and whether you have access to music supervisors (and similar).

Here are some examples:

70% (“You”) / 30% (“Us”) — You have a solid reputation or your own marketing resources but are interested in remixing one of our tracks or co-writing with Takeo Tama.

60% (“You”) / 40% (“Us”) — You excel in your craft but may not have extensive self-marketing capabilities and prefer a slightly better earning split than a 50/50 arrangement.

50% (“You”) / 50% (“Us”) — You have talent or are still figuring things out and want to move beyond just sharing on platforms like SoundCloud.

* For licensing agreements (like advertising, film, video games, etc.), we typically recommend a higher publishing percentage for “Us” (e.g., 15%) since some deals may offer low upfront fees or none at all, even with major productions. In these situations, we aim to avoid taking away from the upfront fees that you should receive.
